Haunting and intensely dramatic, Daniel Bukvich’s Symphony No. 1 reflects on the destruction of Dresden during the Second World War. Unconventional sounds and powerful contrasts create a vivid journey through violence, devastation, grief, and remembrance.

A lyrical and nostalgic piece that evokes a sense of comfort and reflection. It features lush, choral-like harmonies and sweeping melodies that capture a feeling of serene peace.

Inspired by the centuries-old conflict between light and darkness, Angels in the Architecture begins and ends with the serenity of a lone voice singing a traditional Shaker melody. Between these moments of calm, the music erupts into a dramatic struggle before ultimately emerging into radiant light.
