The Georgian Shores Concert Band brings unique and engaging  performances to audiences throughout the Georgian Bay region. As a band, we take great pride in creating musical journeys that transport our audiences to fantastic worlds, far-off places, and embark on thrilling adventures though music.

 

With an emphasis on original music for wind band, the Georgian Shores Concert Band has played everything from masterworks to original commissions. Our concert experiences are often enriched by collaborations with some of Canada’s pre-eminent musical talents, who often join the band as featured guest soloists. Although we are based in Midland, we are a true regional ensemble. Our band members originate everywhere from Barrie, Meaford, Muskoka, and all the communities throughout Georgian Bay. A true community collective, our members come from a wide range of backgrounds that include professional musicians, music educators, experienced community performers, and advanced students.

Georgian Shores is a relatively new ensemble that first fully materialized in 2022 and has been growing steadily since. Prior to it's current iteration as a Concert Band, a core of the band came from the Georgian Bay Brass Band.
